Tim, my fiance, had been working all summer in Michigan for an internship and I had gone to visit him for the fourth of July holiday. Once I got their he started talking about going to look at engagement rings, so we planned to go the day after the fourth. Little did I know he already had bought my ring and planned a great proposal!! On the fourth we went to go visit friends who own a boat on Lake Michigan. We had a fun day of swimming, eating, and drinking. As the sun was setting we decided to go on a sunset cruise around the lake. Just as the sun hit the water Tim suggested we take some pictures to remember it. As we stood on the front of the boat he got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring I had ever seen!! I was so surprised!! As soon as we pulled back into the dock everyone was clapping (they knew what had happened!). The evening ended perfectly with some of the best fireworks I have ever seen!! A July fourth 2010 wedding is in the works now!!!
