You can say I'm a big kid at heart. I absolutely love Disney, it is by far one of my favorite places in this world. Last March we decided to plan a trip to Disney world in May. I was finishing up my junior year of nursing school, and could not wait to spend a week in my favorite place with my favorite person. It was our second day in Disney, and I had planned everything out, from where we would go in the morning, to where we would eat at night. That morning on the way to Animal Kingdom, Kevin told me he had changed our dinner reservations, and that we would be eating at the California Grille on top of the Contemporary Resort. At first I was a little bit ticked off because this particular restaurant took two of our dining meals, but then I got over it. We got to the restaurant at around 5:00. When you walk in there are panaramic views of the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella's castle. Little to my knowledge, Kevin had pre requested the perfect seat over looking the castle. It was absolutely beautiful. There was a platform that you could walk out onto and watch the fireworks from up above the park. Throughout the entire dinner Kevin was so nervous it was going to rain because the clouds were dark. Luckily it didn't rain and we were able to watch the fireworks out on this beautiful platform. It was the most romantic spot. After the fire works had ended, and everyone left the platform, Kevin got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the most romantic surprise any girl could ever ask for. I could not have imagined anything better! May 13 is not only a special day because it is the day we got engaged, but also because it is Kevin's deceased father's birthday. To honor his birthday, and the day we got engaged we are getting married on May 13, 2011; it will forever be a very special, romantic day
